NBK hosts Al Watani Iftar banquets during the Holy month of Ramadan
Al Sager:
- NBK's main Iftar banquets will be set up in Kuwait city and Salmiya
- Fast-breaking and Iftar meals will be distributed by special convoys in the most crowded areas in Kuwait.
National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) announced that preparations are in progress for the launch of Al Watani Iftar banquets for the second consecutive year within the framework of the ongoing " Do Good Deeds in Ramadan " philanthropic campaign launched by the bank 14 years ago, all in keeping with NBK's social and philanthropic outreach policy.
NBK's Deputy Chief Executive Officer Isam Al Sager said that the ongoing "Do Good Deeds in Ramadan" campaign represents one of the main pillars of the Bank's corporate social responsibility (CSR) that focuses on the essential and noble values of philanthropy and benevolence. "The campaign also constitutes a clear manifestation of the vital community-serving role played by the private sector in Kuwait", he added.
Al Sager pointed out that NBK basically initiated that the " Do Good Deeds in Ramadan " campaign 14 years ago to reflect the spirit of Ramadan through donating the proceeds of the campaign to various humanitarian and charitable organizations. " However, NBK last year decided to totally devote the campaign to a more tangible and concrete action that directly affects Ramadan needy fasters and offer them free Iftar meals throughout the whole month of Ramadan.
NBK will be holding Al Watani Iftar banquets in two main locations; near the Grand Mosque and next to Salmiya Cinema, with two large tents to be set up there to accommodate fasters who wish to break their fast at NBK Iftar tents. This year's campaign will also offer fast-breaking at various mosques and crowded locations throughout Kuwait, in addition to distributing Iftar meals via special convoys that will tour the strategic and mostly crowded areas in the country.
NBK has always been at the forefront of charitable and noble activities. "The continuous support and trust of our customers have made the Bank and its activities a huge success in the region" Al Sager concluded.
