NBK launches the Jordanian "Social Security Ambassador" Campaign in Kuwait in Collaboration with Jordanian Social Security Corporation
National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the leading bank in Kuwait and the highest rated bank in the Middle East, in collaboration with the Jordanian Social Security Corporation (JSSC), recently announced the launch of the Security Ambassador campaign "the Social Security Portable Office" in Kuwait. The initiative is part of a large scale and comprehensive scheme aiming at extending the realm of the Jordanian social security scheme to cover Jordanian expatriates residing in the Arabian Gulf countries.
A special familiarization gathering also will be organized by NBK at the bank's Head Office-1 the Banking Hall on Monday 25th of May- 4:00 pm to answer enquiries raised by interested members of the Jordanian community residing in Kuwait.
Commenting on the occasion, NBK – Jordan General Manager, Jabra Ghandour said that the launch of this campaign, which comes under NBK's full sponsorship and close coordination, constitutes a further step towards extending the Jordanian social security scheme to cover Jordanian expatriates who lack any retirement or social security coverage in their current countries of residence. This initiative is basically aiming at providing proper social protection for this segment of citizens that constitutes a pivotal pillar for the Jordanian economy in addition to ensuring a decent retirement for them upon their return to homeland.
"Within the realm of this partnership, NBK's team will be responsible for receiving optional subscription applications as of 27th of May at bank's head office (3)-Ahmad Al Jaber Street and checking the data received prior to forwarding applications to the JSSC in Amman for processing and final approval", Ghandour said.
On his part, the JSSC General Manager, Dr. Omar Al Razaz said JSSC, in coordination with NBK, the sole sponsor of the campaign, has taken all the preliminary arrangements necessary for the successful launch, whereas a special team from NBK has been set up and trained by a JSSC team, currently visiting Kuwait, on handling and managing the optional subscription applications.
Furthermore, JSSC and NBK had posted a special file on their internet sites in which they detailed the merits of the social security scheme and the terms and conditions for joining the program, in addition to declaring that the relevant medical tests conducted in the state of Kuwait will also be valid in Jordan.
It worth mentioning that the total number of the Jordanian community in Kuwait exceeds 17.000 members, while the total number of the Jordanian communities residing in the Arabian Gulf countries reaches 150.000 members.
