NBK Launches "Think Twice" Awareness-Raising Campaign to Save Electricity and Water

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the leading bank in the Middle East, has recently announced the launch of an environmental campaign, tagged "Think Twice" as part of an all-inclusive and integrated environmental awareness-raising program developed to promote the protection of environment via educating the public about the benefits of being environmentally-friendly as well as motivating NBK's clients and staff members to voluntarily participate in such activities.

Commenting on the launch of the multi-pronged environmental awareness-raising program, NBK's Chief Executive Officer, Isam Al Sager said that the planned environmental program is another manifestation of  NBK's involvement and dynamic interaction with public and social concerns as well as our deep commitment to the community, which by far, exceeds the role normally expected from a banking institution and embraces a broad spectrum of social developmental and philanthropic aspects, indicating that NBK is quite determined to continually demonstrate its social citizenship via joining forces with the public sector to share the burdens and responsibilities of broader national efforts towards the fulfillment of the multi-faceted social advancement process, with particular attention to the environmental issues with  direct impact on human life .

Under the  multi-phased environmental program, numerous functions, educational and awareness-raising activities will be launched and implemented within a long-term schedule, including beach clean-up, grassroots public educational campaigns focusing on introducing the proper environmental behaviors throughout major commercial complexes and centers,  as well as all NBK branches, in addition to conducting environmental contests and the establishment of certain teams of volunteers collected from NBK staff members.
