NBK enhances Online Banking Security

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the highest credit ratings' bank in the Middle East, has further enhanced its online banking security by introducing new technologies.

"Spam emails have become a growing concern to customers and businesses alike. We want to provide our customers with a peace of mind when they conduct their day to day banking activities through our online banking "Watani Online" we have therefore taken steps and implemented two additional security features on Watani Online", said General Manager of NBK, Adel Abdul Wahab Al-Majed.

The first technology introduced is visible for our customers they can now click on the "Seal of Trust" which is an international security seal by clicking the seal they can confirm that they are accessing Watani Online and not a fraudulent replica.  Customers can then conduct all their banking needs with the peace of mind that all their information is secure from cyper criminals.

"NBK is the first bank in Kuwait to offer the 'Seal of Trust'. It is important that our customers know that they can conduct their online banking activities without the fear of their personal data or their money being stolen", explained Al Majed.

The second technology works for Watani customers 24 hours a day 365 days of the year without them needing to take any action. NBK has engaged with leading international companies such as Yahoo, Microsoft and Google to provide security against the global fight on internet crimes.

"Through our partnerships; fraudulent emails will automatically be deleted from the inbox's of the Hotmail, Yahoo and Google. NBK is working together with these leading email providers to protect our customers. We will ensure that we remove any fraudulent site that is not a real Watani Online, thereby ensuring maximum safety for customers", concluded Al Majed.
