Egypt: NBK-Egypt Opens Its Newest Branch at City Stars Mall18.10.2021
In continuation of its successful path and to serve its expansion plans to increase customer base and number of branches, as well as the continuous development and modernization of its branch network, National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (NBK-Egypt) announced the official opening of its newest branch “City Stars Mall Branch” on Sunday, October 3, after moving it to a new location at City Stars Mall in Nasr City.
The branch was inaugurated by Mrs. Salma Abu Hussein – Head of the Consumer Banking Sector, Mr. Ahmed Youssef - Head of Distribution Channels and Branches Network, as well as a number of Executive Managers from the Bank. The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Mohamed Abu Al-Yazid - Managing Director of City Stars Mall, and Mr. Mohamed Saeed - Division Head at City Stars Mall.
The new branch boasts a strategic location at one of the largest shopping malls in Cairo, which is frequented by thousands of visitors daily, giving an excellent opportunity to attract many customers from different segments, primarily since the branch operates all week round from 11 AM to 7 PM, and on Fridays from 2 PM to 7 PM.
The new branch was designed and implemented according to the latest design trends and advanced technologies to provide customers with a highly convenient and quick service. The branch embraces a Business Center area to serve our Corporate Banking Customers, and also spaces for serving Privilege Banking Customers. It also features an ATM, ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) as well as a Digital Corner.
Egypt: NBK - Egypt Signs a New Cooperation Protocol with Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation24.03.2022
As part of its CSR and its commitment to expand its charitable contributions and projects in the Egyptian society year after another, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK)-Egypt has signed a new cooperation protocol for the second time with Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation under which the Bank provides financial support for the project of building Magdi Yacoub International Heart Center, which will be located in 6th of October City.
On this occasion, Mr. Yasser El-Tayeb NBK - Egypt Vice Chairman, Managing Director & CEO said: “NBK’s provision of this new support to Magdi Yacoub Foundation comes within its CSR and its commitment to play a consistent role in serving the society by making donations and contributions to many non-profit organizations, which aim to develop and society and people at all levels, acting as the executive arm of the Bank’s development efforts. Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation is a unique medical edifice that follows the latest methods and technologies in the field of heart diseases and research and provides treatment to all groups of people free of charge. It is a true example of trustworthy organizations that we are assured to cooperate with in order to achieve this noble goal in healthcare area, which is one of the key priorities for us and for the whole NBK Group in line with its CSR.
El-Tayeb added: “CSR is one of the key pillars of NBK - Egypt to achieve sustainable development, which aims to contribute effectively to the development of local communities. It aims to reinforce the Egyptian government’s strides in developing the following pivots:

- Urban development for the neediest areas - Provision of educational opportunities

On the other side, Mrs. Dina El-Gazzar, VP for Development and Fundraising at Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation expressed her appreciation of NBK-Egypt’s ongoing support of the efforts to establish the Foundation’s new center in Cairo, to increase the number of beneficiaries and spread knowledge for doctors and nursing staff in Egypt and the region. She hoped that cooperation with the Bank continues during the coming period until the new center is completed and starts providing its services to citizens as soon as possible.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Amr El Alfy, Head of Business Group at NBK – Egypt, Mrs. Salma Abou Hussein, Head of Consumer Banking at NBK-Egypt, Mr. Ahmed Youssef - Head of Distribution Channels and Branch Network, Mrs. Dena Al-Nemr – Co-Head Branches, and a number of members of the bank’s Executive Management, as well as the distinguished presence of Mr. Ashraf Shabib - Group CEO at Waterway Developments.
The new branch is strategically located at a world-class business complex in New Cairo; offering a great opportunity to attract many customers from different segments.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Amr El Alfy, Head of Business Group at NBK – Egypt said: “NBK-Egypt adopts a clear strategy to increase the number of its branches and its geographical footprint, whether in various key locations in Greater Cairo or other governorates. It is worth mentioning that "Port Said" branch is the First branch to be opened in the canal cities region and was inaugurated by Mr. Amr ElAlfy – Head of Business Division, Mrs. Salma Abu Hussein – Head of the Consumer Banking Sector, Mr. Ahmed Youssef - Head of Distribution Channels and Branches Network, and several Executive Managers from the Bank.
The new branch is distinguished by its strategic location in downtown Port Said, an excellent opportunity to attract many customers from different segments, bringing our branch network count to 53 branches.

NBK Egypt organized a ceremony to honor the best performing colleagues in Q4, 2021 from the Consumer Banking Division, during the presence of Mr. Yasser ElTayeb, Vice Chairman, CEO and Managing Director, Mr. Amr Alalfy, Head of Business and Ms. Salma Abu Hussein, Head of Consumer Banking with the presence of Division Heads and Executive Management.
To honor the best performing colleagues, a Citroën C5 was awarded during the ceremony, in addition to gold coins and trophies.
